Dr. Bakhsh Hospital is a busy private general hospital situated on the outskirts of Jeddah in pleasant surroundings with easy access to shops and other points of interest in Jeddah with 153 beds which cover General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Paedia, Neuro-surgery, ENT, has ten general wards, Intensive Care Unit for adult and neonatal, OT, RDU, Emergency Unit, Lab, etc.

       The Nursing Department of Bakhsh Hospital offers the highest standard of care. We attribute this to the fact that we have a Director of Nursing who is highly qualified with a vast hospital managerial experience. Nurses are BSN degree holders and we have continuous education program for the nurses with lectures and in-services on regular basis and also we are sending staff to attend seminars/ symposia and workshops offered by other hospitals both within and outside Jeddah to keep them abreast with the modern technologies in nursing. The patient is always the primary concern for all activities and care rendered is comprehensive, holistic and individualized. Standards of care are compliant to international requirements and accredited by MRQP as well as ARAMCO, Bakhsh Hospital being one of Saudi ARAMCO (Saudi Arabian American Company) accredited hospitals.

       With the Nursing care in Bakhsh Hospital, you will be looked after by a team of highly qualified nurses mentored by a dynamic Director of Nursing from Jordan with a doctorate degree, who always strives with persistent perseverance to unify and standardize the nursing practice and always aims at rendering the best quality nursing service.        From the start, a comprehensive orientation program organized by a competent Nurse Educator with a Masters Degree helps the multinational nurses to adjust to the entirely different hospital system. They are being followed up in the months that follow with competency checklists, performance appraisals and educational activities, emerging with specialized skills to support your particular clinical needs.

Accident and Emergency Department

          This department is fully operational 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. It is equipped and staffed by highly trained qualified nurse and doctors. Specialists/consultants are called to emergency patients when requested by the emergency Registrar. Full resuscitation and emergency procedures are carried out when required.

Outpatient Department

          Outpatient clinics are held Saturday through Thursday from 9:00am – 1:00pm and 5pm-9:00pm. Specialists are available to a pre-arranged program and it is advisable to check the days on which your particular doctor is on duty.

          These clinics are always very busy and emergency patients are given priority. Nurses are very accommodating, assisting patients cheerfully and with respect. Every effort is made to reduce the amount of time which patient may have to wait to see Specialists/Consultants.

Maternity Unit

          The maternity unit offers a choice of Deluxe Suites, Private and twin-bedded rooms. The Labor suite has 6 rooms fully equipped with oxygen, Entonex unit, CTG monitors, resuscitative, and ultrasound scanning.

          The neonatal and special care nurses are also fully equipped with incubators, phototherapy units and emergency resuscitation equipment.

Pediatrics / Nursery

          Five Specialist Pediatricians, Pediatric Registrars, care for children from premature to adolescents and Pediatric qualify nursing staff on their own ward where parents are welcome to stay and a special children’s menu provided. Only the most modern equipment is used and every effort made to help the children adjust to their new environment.

Intensive Care Unit

          The combination of the finest equipment and the high nursing staff ratio in this unit gives an outstanding level of care to acutely ill adults, children and neonates.

          The efficiency, professionalism and friendliness of this first class nursing and medical service can also help to reduce the anxiety and stress caused by critically ill patient and their family. Facilities available are nine single rooms fully equipped with cardiac monitors, ECG, blood pressure and pulse monitors, ventilators, haemodialysis, blood gas machines, CT Scanning, diagnostic imaging and comprehensive pathological testing.

Surgery

          The hospital has six large Operating Theatres and an Endoscopy Room. All are fully staffed and highly skilled personnel and equipped to deal with the following: General and Pediatric surgery, Thoracic, Neuro-surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Plastic surgery and Orthopedics. Theatres are available 6-days a week with 24-hour on call service for emergency.

NICU

          The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a highly specialized care unit that provides comprehensive tertiary level of care for extreme premature neonates, very low birth weight, critically ill and post operative neonates, up to one-month of age; neonate with medical condition requiring intensive care, close observation / monitoring and active management including supportive measures with mechanical ventilation. The neonatal intensive care unit is staffed with outstanding professional nurses who are expert, highly trained and very much committed to quality nursing care of these newborns.

Nursery

          The well-baby unit / Nursery provides routine nursing care to healthy newborns and it is the best place to chose to leave your babies when you want to relax, enjoy yourself with your visitors around you for your babies are in safe hands. A Neonatologist assesses every special need of your babies and the service of a Nutritionist is integrated to ensure our babies receive the appropriate nourishment.
